Pilates Reformer Classes
The Pilates reformer is a traditional piece of Pilates equipment which looks like a bed with springs, a sliding carriage, ropes, and pulleys. The springs and pulleys provide variable resistance to assist and challenge the body. Exercises on the Reformer maximize core stability and increase muscle endurance, joint stability, muscle strength, balance, and coordination.
The origins of the Pilates reformer date back to the original Pilates studio in New York in the 1920s and was designed by Joseph Pilates himself.
Gain strength, mobility, and stamina in a small group class setting using Pilates choreography and principles. Fast track your physical health and experience a unique and fun workout. Class sizes are limited to 4 people to provide you with uniquely personalized instruction.
Yoga is first and foremost a spiritual practice and the path to self-realization.
Through prana, (Sanskrit for breath or life force) we learn to still the mind and tap into the energy of the universe. With the assistance of the energy of the ‘verse we can achieve mastery of our mind, body, and spiritual force.
Yoga is most well known as a physical practice that consists of various postures designed to stretch and strengthen the body. However, yoga poses are only a small component of yoga. At theStudio we will guide you to a fuller understanding of the magnitude of yogic practices. And the life-changing benefits one can achieve with a daily practice including improved sleep, increased energy, improved concentration, increased flexibility, and overall better mental, physical and spiritual health.
When something is bothering you – a person is bugging you, a situation is irritating you, or physical pain is bothering you – you must work with your mind, and that is done through meditation. Working with our mind is the only means through which we’ll actually begin to feel happy and contented with the world that we live in.” — Pema Chodron
Meditation is the ancient practice of becoming friends with your mind and truly accepting and loving yourself as you are in each moment. Practicing meditation allows you the grace to be fully present and engaged in the world from a deep well of love.
